2019 winning experiment conducted aboard ISS

The 2019 winning Genes in Space experiment was conducted aboard the ISS early in the mornings of December 21 and December 23, 2020 by virologist and astronaut Dr. Kate Rubins. 2019 winners Finsam Samson and Yujie Wang and their mentor Dr. Matt Smith aimed to investigate how microgravity impacts the function of the nervous system. They were up early along with the Genes in Space team to monitor the operations and everyone was thrilled that everything went smoothly. Many thanks to Dr. Kate Rubins for her expert hands!
