Blast off! Genes in Space-9 experiment launches to space

The Genes in Space-9 experiment is on its way to the ISS! On July 14, 2021 contest winner Selin Kocalar joined the Genes in Space team at the Kennedy Space Center to see her project launch to space aboard SpaceX Commercial Resupply Mission 25. Before the launch, she had a chance to tour the facility and present her work to an audience at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Center.

Selin's experiment will be carried out by astronauts aboard the ISS over the coming weeks. Until then, check out scenes from the launch below.
