The Genes in Space Finals are going virtual!

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Genes in Space Finals will be held virtually. The Finals, in which our 5 Finalist teams present their proposals to a panel of judges and a winner is selected, typically take place in person at the ISS Research & Development Conference. To adhere to public health guidelines advising against large group gatherings, the ISS Research & Development Conference has been cancelled. This means for the first time, the Genes in Space Finals will be held as a series of online events.

Nothing can replicate the energy that comes from an in-person gathering of the Genes in Space community. Nevertheless, a virtual event offers the unique opportunity of sharing the Finals with the public in a way that hasn't been possible before. To that end, we intend to make a selection of Finals-associated events open to all. Additional details will be released as they become available. Stay tuned!
