Successful PCR in Space (Photo Gallery)

We are happy to announce that the first DNA amplification in space was successful!

2015 Genes in Space winner, Anna-Sophia Boguraev, and members from Boeing and miniPCR gathered at New England Biolabs in Boston on Monday, May 23rd.  Anna-Sophia conducted gel electrophoresis to analyze the samples that had returned from the International Space Station.

Here are pictures capturing that day - an exciting experience for everyone involved and a great moment for space biology.
