Genes in Space 2021 Winner Selin Kocalar publishes research

Selin Kocalar, the 2021 winner of Genes in Space, has published the results of her groundbreaking research investigation the journal ACS Synthetic Biology. She developed the investigation as a high school student, using a technology known as cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS) to build environmental sensors that can be deployed quickly and simply in space.
