Genes in Space UAE 2016 Webinar

Learn about the Genes in Space competition where students in grades 7-12 are invited to design DNA experiments to be performed by astronauts on the International Space Station. The speakers, Sebastian Kraves, PhD, and Zeke Alvarez Saavedra, PhD, share background on miniPCR, the DNA analysis technology at the heart of Genes in Space, how to get started on your research proposal, and tips forĀ preparing a successful submission.

Genes in Space is a STEM competition for middle and high school students and teachers to design pioneering experiments that canĀ solve real-world problems in space exploration. Winning experiments are sent to the International Space Station where they become part of actual space biology research programs.
